I truly agree with that I fell from the third spectrum to first just for fitting in and pleasing people I started rotting afterwards. Though what's wrong with beauty? Chasing beauty is definitely wrong but what's wrong with wanting to look good. Bc as a girl I have definitely suffered a lot bc I didn't take care of my looks.does he mean nothing's wrong with stuff like food,partying sex beauty etc as long as you don't chase it and keep it in moderation?

Stop right there.

Spiritual development is a process, alot of issues may "come back" because of it. Judging something as wrong will do nothing but trigger shame and repress this aspect of yourself.

There is nothing wrong about trying to please people - it is part of your journey

There is nothing wrong with falling down the happiness spectrum - it is there to give you experience

There is nothing wrong about chasing beauty or not chasing beauty - it is acting on your best interests

Learn to embrace and not reject. By no means am I saying that you should learn to do it - I would be a hypocrite - but try it and see if it is for your best interest or not.

I think you only got a part of the truth. If you stop creating the thoughts that make you suffer (its very possible, but hard to believe, I have actually experienced this kind of state), your pain will stop. Everything will just be. Nothing is beautiful or ugly, it just is.

If you become more conscious of your body, you will start to take care of what you eat naturally and exercise more, which can result in improving your looks, but its not necessary for happiness.

@Leo Gura I CAN be . But when I lose stuff like integrity,authenticity Ill always be sad! I get it now .damnt I LOVEYOULEO.one more thing though I can't imagine how much fullfillment you must be getting by helping us. Do you still desire things like shopping? Cars? Nice house?  Occasional junk food? Do you lead a simple life?

@bejapuskas that was what the video was about progress in the right direction . chasing after approval and validation and approval we can progress in that too but it will leave us unhappy eventually. that was what i was wondering. progress should be about the right things

@sneha Progress isnt about approval, its about moving to a state where you are dependent only on yourself, you dont need porn, you dont need a partner, you dont need ice-cream... There is no problem in the present moment. I like to watch gurus like Eckhart Tolle, Sadhguru and Mooji. Just sit there, when you are feeling down, and let their energy permeate you, you really have to be at peace and you will experience a glimpse of higher consciousness  Then you wont need them and you will just be ok with doing progress yourself.
