Kriya Yoga: Maha Mudra

3 posts in this topic

I'm currently working my way through the Kriya book Leo recommended in his "The Importance Of Real Yoga" video and having some very interesting results. I've just begun lesson 9, Maha Mudra. Having recently injured my lower back, which still hasn't fully recovered, I'm a little apprehensive about stretching it so vigorously. Quick question for anyone who knows more about this than me... Is the Maha Mudra absolutely essential in Kriya progression; and if so, can it be skipped over for now and come back to at a later stage?

Much appreciated

@Akira If you have an injury, just skip Mahamudra for now.

Mahamudra is considered an important core technique.

But you don't have to add it in right off the bat. You can master the other techniques and add in Mahamudra in a few months.

Pranayama is the most important technique.

Don't let perfectionism stop you from mastering yoga. Do whatever is necessary to circumnavigate excuses and obstacles.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
