Succeeding as an actor

So I just arrived in the US starting in Business school and my dream is to be successful at acting, and have no limit to how far I want to go. I bought some self help books and planning to take acting classes but I'm 18 with a lot to learn, where do I start? Any suggestions on how I succeed given I am kind of starting from scratch?

Try connecting with film schools in your area and see if any students need an extra actor. Find every possible event you could improve your acting skills and go there with the intent to improve.
