This video is a perfect example of what Leo talks about in his "Successful People Are Not Happy" video. Listening to this just makes me cringe. Not to dismiss Brandon Carter nor RSD completely though, they have valuable advice to give.

I don't get the hate. Firstly Owen understands spiral dynamics and I'm pretty sure he's way past the orange everyone think's he's in (of course, not pure orange, but still). Him, Julien, and maybe some other instructors, understand what it means not to drown in orange values.
They're using those "lower" levels to draw people who resonate with it, and expand their mind later. That's pretty much what I noticed since I've been following them.
Also, isn't spiral dynamics higher levels supposed to have absorbed all the previous ones? So why could you not be orange on a material level, and use the results of this for peace of mind from being free of money/neediness?

I mean, my english is terrible, but just watch this recent video and tell me "they" don't understand the message about success.

The peace of mind comes from the freedom from orange materialism. There is an energetic motivation from individual pursuits toward promoting social equality and inclusion of marginalized groups. Holistic wellness becomes more rewarding than individual gains. 

As you evolve upward on the spiral you build off lower stages of the spiral and can use each stage as a tool. For example, I am now comfortable using "either / or" thinking (Blue stage), rationale/logical thinking (Orange stage) and relative thinking (Green Stage). I try to use whatever is appropriate for a given situation. . .  If you want to cut something in two, sometimes scissors are best, other times a saw is best and other times a chainsaw. Once you get centered in a higher stage and familiar with the tools, you get a sense for where others are at. For example: one day you notice someone trying to cut down a tree with a hand saw and realize he doesn't know how to use a chainsaw. You suggest to him it may be better to use a chainsaw in this situation. He gets defensive and goes into logical reasons why using a handsaw is better than those idiots that use scissors to cut down trees. 

Yet, I am not yet proficient at using Yellow tools. It would be totally obvious to a yellow centered person that I was using relative thinking (green) in a situation that calls for systems thinking (yellow). For example, if I was cutting down a forest with a chainsaw, it would be clear to a Yellow that I don't know how to use a bulldozer. 

Once you are comfortable at a green stage, you start to see how people are stuck in blue or orange stages. Sometimes it is ridiculously obvious. It's like someone saying people are either skinny or fat - and fat people should have to buy two seats on an airplane because they take up so much room. You ask them: "how fat does a person have to be to require them to buy two tickets?"  The other person is confused and says "Fat people should have to buy two tickets. Not the skinny people". You respond: "Yes, but to set a "two seat policy", airlines would need to establish a threshold for size. Perhaps anyone over 280 pounds. What do you consider too fat for one seat?". Your friend replies: "DUDE, why are you complicating this??!! People are either skinny or fat!!! Let me spell this out for you. . . F . A . T. = two seats,  S . K . I. N . N . Y = one seat. Do you freaking understand now??!!"

It's literally THAT obvious at times. . .

As you say it yourself in the rest of your post, you can use lower levels as a tool. Who says Owen is not using/baiting orange (As he says, if you're trying to make people better by throwing bigger truth in their face, they won't even want to hear about it) to get them to higher levels of consciousness? His speech ended up leading to this from what I see. From "get laid" to "become a better person that understands that win-win is the way".
I'm also sure he has plenty of money and, having done so much in his life, he pushed orange pretty far, so he's not really living through this criterias and can only see further now.
So I think he's using orange as a tool but is not orange himself, I might be mistaken tho.

@Fuku I just watched Owen's video. To me, it seems like he is in the process of transitioning out of Orange. He speaks about how typical Orange-level pursuits (such as material and fame) won't bring you happiness. To me, it seems like Owen is still processing this within himself. It's almost like he is speaking his processing out loud. Owen seems to be in the process of realizing material and fame pursuits will not solve his problems and will not bring him happiness - and he is sharing his revelations with other men. People in transition stages can resonate with others that are ready to begin transitioning. 

From my perspective, Owen's message is classic for an Orange to Green transition. Yet, I don't think he is green-centered. He still sees personal development as the solution. His message is focused on how to create a healthier individual to bring yourself happiness. He sees creating a healthy orange identity as the solution for an unhealthy orange identity. 

Green is about: Empathy with others, social progress, equality for all, multiculturalism, intuition over logic, supporting humanitarian causes, heart-centered communities, socialism.

I don't get the sense that Owen has transcended Green or that he even sees Green as the destination. I think he sees development of a healthy Orange personality as the destination.  I don't get the impression he is a Green dropping down to Orange to help others transition out of Orange.

He is a very interesting character!
