Why you think guys these days are so insecure about their looks? Because of this shit. My ultimate point is that this objectification which i dissagree with happens to BOTH GENDERS.  Yes, maybe to females it happens more, but guys are not immune to it either.

Of course media will always depict the top 5% of physically best-looking humans. You cannot put an ugly human in a movie as the main character. No one will pay to see it.

Of course men are idealized as well as women. The difference is, a woman's beauty is much more important to her reproductive survival than a man's. A man can compensate with character, wealth, status, leadership skills, humor, etc. A woman is not so flexible because men are so turned on by visuals.

True but most guys these days do not see it in this way because of this sexualization bs. They feel worthless because they do not match standards set by the entertainment industry. So what you say is true but because of these standards and vibe that is created it makes them insecure a lot nonetheless. Even the notion of what a high quality guy is has changed in their minds. Tyler says it very well, good looking guys are portratied as very confident and charismatic so if a guy is not handsome he will feel like he should not be confident or charismatic. Most of it is subconscious. Yes, if you do self actualization work and self help it will seem foolish but most young people cannot see that far or deep.

What would be the best solution is to remove this extreme sexualization and objectification in general. A lot is really unecessary in telling a good narrative and used as a shameless money grab, ignoring the subtle effects it has on young people.

No but you can put a normal looking guy if he is skilled. Even male singers are quite handsome in general these days. I do not recall watching someone's face when i listen to music. Still happens. For females it is 50 times worse cough nicky minaj cough.

My rant here is about this whole industry, it is purely disgusting and ruining the self esteem of basically my whole generation (i am a zoomer).

So i am fully agreeing on what you said about Tomb Raider ass thing affecting young girls and building up on it to include everyone.

They feel worthless because they have invented a toxic victim ideology which spreads like cancer through our culture. And because no one showed them how to act like man. Nor are they interested in growing.

It's not going to be removed. Show biz will always be polished and appearance-oriented. Show biz is not for ugly people, if you want that, go into radio or academia.

The solution is to stop comparing yourself to others.

Stop hinging your self-esteem on such silly things.

Media is always going to reflect the lowest common denominator ideals of the culture.

I am not talking about myself as an individual. I am talking about my generation, it pains me when many people around me feel bad from this shit, especially females (although some guys too they just dont express it much). This may sound as a rant against orange but i see no point for over sexualization.

This guy seems quite green to me. Interesting videos about race and cancel culture. Seemed on the healthier side of green to me, such people are needed more on media.

This is how Green makes fun of Orange

it’s comedic but also cynic. it shows what green values and focuses on: equality and showing women -even if by forcing it- must always be shown as adequate as men.

Its like being in high school and making fun of your younger cousin who is still at elementary schools.

When you mix orange and green.

Reusable straws in plastic packaging.

This would be less of a problem if people bought this and then never bought a reusable straw again, but that won't happen.

Most of these will end up in the trash in a year lol.
