I Give Up Using Logic And Rationality To Understand This Reality

11 posts in this topic

Seriously, why I am in this body, in this universe, in this reality, in this time, in this place in the universe, in this laws, why everything is the way it is, I mean everything, WHY, what is the reason, what is the meaning for this, why why and why, why everything is the way it is, it's truly fuck*d up, everything, there is no logic or rationality here, it's just one big giant insanity, one big giant mind fuck, it's so fuck*ed up that no logic or rationality can possibly understand this, going insane is the only thing which will happen when you try to understand this

All we know is that it is. Everything else is the mind, conceptual reality, language reality. Any attempt to try and understand reality trough the mind or reason is delusion. Only the Apsolute or God knows why and how. Maybe only on breaktrough doses of psychedelics can you understand some part of reality and even then you have to be very careful of how you interpret the experience and what it really means.

Yeah it is insane and a mind fuck haha. I want to give more emphasis to this. I would say that we ''know'' only our direct personal experience. There is a distinction between actual reality and how the mind perceives and constructs it. The mind is there to navigate life not to understand or know reality. All we do is experience what is, we do not really ''know'' anything.

Immanuel Kant said that reality is all in the mind, and he drew ''a clear distinction between our perception of reality AND the actual object of perception. His key insight was the realization that all we ever know are the structures generated in our minds; the world that gives rise to this perception, what he termed "the thing-in-itself", remains forever unknowable.'' All we can ever know, according to Kant, is how reality appears to us.

I think that's it.

Are "we" in this body, in this universe, in this reality, in this time, in this place in the universe.

What if we are wrong about this?

@Cortex logic doesn't work when you look at your present moment experience and ask "why does reality exist?". There is no answer to this question. It doesn't matter if you believe there is an infinite chain of causation, a circular chain of causation, an uncaused cause in the form of a deity. There's just existence. There is no why, it just is.

Look at your present moment experience. There is all this stuff in your consciousness, but you don't know why it is there. Once you see past the illusion of past and future this is clear to see. There is just existence, and you don't know why it is there. Like if I try to switch on mindfulness, I'll be amazed at the fact that any of this exists at all.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

His key insight was the realization that all we ever know are the structures generated in our minds; the world that gives rise to this perception, what he termed "the thing-in-itself", remains forever unknowable.'' All we can ever know, according to Kant, is how reality appears to us.

For example, let's take the object computer. The term computer is created in the mind, that it has this or that color, that it has this or that shape, that it has something inside it like atoms etc, all of this is created in the mind just like language and concepts are created in the mind. But what actually is it existantially? The actual thing in itself? From our direct experience we can't really know, unless maybe if you snort 5-meo. All there is is a seeing of this ''object'' and you can also touch it and feel that you have touched it, that's pretty much it. The rest is the mind.

It's not a computer, you are just seeing something which appear in your experience. You are touching something which appear in your experience. Even saying that it is ''something'' is created in the mind, actually there is just seeing and touching. We can't know or understand using the mind what this something actually IS. Saying that it is this or that is a creation of the mind, no matter if you say it's nothingness or God or infinity or a computer. There is just seeing, and everything just is or at least appears to be in your experience. It can't be what your mind says it is because that's all language and concepts used to navigate life and simplifying it, the mind cannot know existantially what anything truly is and therefore Kant's conclusion that the thing in itself remains forever unknowable.

Drama, drama, drama.

Just a ploy of the ego-mind. You haven't actually realized anything yet. You're just acting up. Tomorrow you will go back to trying to rationalize reality.

The ego-mind loves to play possum.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
