Lack of energy and stupidity

11 posts in this topic

Hello,

Lately i've been making the stupidest mistakes at work ( laborious and mundane), and i'm trying to weed out what exactly might be the cause of this, cause i'm getting a lot of complaints from my boss.

I'm eating healthy ( mostly fruits and vegetables diet), i sleep 7-8 hours every night ( although i wake up 2-3 times randomly ), have a consistent meditation habit to clear my head, drink plenty of water etc.

About a month ago i had a medical checkup, and everything was good. They checked my vitamins and they were all high, so i'm clueless here.

Breathing is probably what you are missing. The brain uses 20 percent of the body's oxygen. Waking up multiple times a night is a good sign that you are not getting essential deep sleep, breathing is related to this.

Hmm, i'm not sure about this. I am definitely missing deep sleep, but i don't think that breathing is my problem.
All of this happend when i changed my sleep schedule ( for work ). I used to sleep very well before, without waking up once.

yeah loss of sleep alone is enough to cause these problems.

is it stress that keeps you waking up? Do you smoke or drink before bed?

The mistakes are because you're not conscious of what you're doing. I used to make the worst mistakes at work. I once, half asleep, pushed the button under the counter at a retail store that calls the police to tell them that we were being robbed. You wouldn't believe the surprise I had when the police visited the store asking me about the robbery. Boss didn't like that much either ;)

But when I'm working on something I really care about, those kinds of mistakes just don't happen.

Yea, i've been reading into improving sleep quite a lot lately. I've even started supplementing magnesium.

I think rushing might be your problem. It's hard to make mistakes when you do things slowly.

Could be true, but there is no time to do things slowly in my job. It's a constant rush against the time, at least if you don't want to work overtime ( unpaid) .

Yea... to be honest i don't really give a **** about this job. I'm just doing it in the meantime because i need cash to move to a different area with better job opportunities.

I wouldn't say this is a root cause solution, but ever heard of red light therapy?

Few questions for you:

  • are you a regular coffee drinker?
  • do you do any vigorous training or have a path of competitive sports that required a lot of training?
  •  do you get any of the following:
    • anxieties
    • blood sugar problems
    • any inflammatory disease (ending in "-itis")
    • hard time getting of bed in the morning
    • most energy in the evenings
  • How about any of these:
    • migraines
    •  easy irritability
    • goiter
    • hard time putting on/losing weight
    • excessive sweating

EDIT

+ do you know your resting blood pressure?

++ do you know your resting heart beat?
