Self Growth impeding fiting in

3 posts in this topic

Hello, my name is Rashad this is my first time posting on this forum. I Have been following Leos work for a few years now and my growth as a human being has skyrocketed. I see the world in a very different way now. I have not tried psychedelics but I do not fear them. I can see myself merging with the world around me. For example, I have a tremendous compassion and connection to animals now. furthermore, I used to fear bees and hornets I now have a connection to them that transcends words.  My growth as a spiritual being is very much underway but My career is quite stagnant. I can't seem to get reasonable work (when I say reasonable I mean lucrative, safe and worthy of my abilities). I consider my self a humble person so I have taken meager work and often do very poorly. A large part of my issue is my development as a spiritual being creates a powerful presence that shifts the environment around me. People start to change and that change is not always desired. For example, people start to look at their dreams and feel that they are more obtainable because of my encouragement. I can see creating a great deal of change in the world with what I have become. But I have a huge hurdle in the fact that I continue to have issues gaining work. I even took a shot at starting my own business and had serious difficulties. I wanted to gain insight from others doing the work that I do on a spiritual level to see how I should move forward.

P.S. thank you so much for reading through all of that.

@RashadJevon

Welcome to the forum Rashad! Here’s what I see..

Watched a lot of videos and did a lot of reflection and maybe some contemplation on the nature of matter, reality, and self. Outcome: Beauty revealed, synchronicity experienced. Even nature’s little “evil stingers” are not seen as ‘other’. That’s really precious and it was nice of you to share it. You referred to this with the word “growth”, and identified with it, “my growth”. Furthermore, you are conveying a ‘big’ experience. “Merging with the world around me” - I hear that.  I am feelin you there man.

But the financial adventure, your journey to independence and freedom, that get coined “career”, “stagnant”, reasonable work”, “safe” “often do very poorly”, “large part of my issue”, “huge hurdle”, “fact”, “issues gaining work”,”serious difficulties”... I gotta be honest, I’m not feelin you there, and more honestly, I don’t want to feel like that. I bet you don’t want to either.

So why do you feel like that about work? Because of what has transpired, what you’ve experienced? Well, getting stung by a bee is no picnic, but look at you now.

Maybe there’s no such thing as failure. Maybe that’s growth.

Perhaps, if you took that inspiration going outward to those around you, and redirected it inward, you’d develop yourself in that manor too, you’d start a little fire of vision in you, and you’d start to see the relativity in the world lining up with your focus, your desire - your vision. Opportunities might just come out of the woodwork. The interesting jobs, the exciting fulfilling career paths, your life purpose - might be just like the bees and the hornets. Maybe there is beauty to be revealed yet in that journey too.

“I used to fear bees and hornets, and now I have a connection with them”.

”I used to fear jobs and careers, and now I have a connection with them”.

?

Leo’s got some great videos about such things. You’ve in the right place.

Keep in mind, you are the creator. Writing what you want on a piece of paper, is manifesting, it’s the begining of great things. Every thing was first an idea, and every blaze was first a tiny flame.

One of the most powerful practices, is to simply sit, and do absolutely nothing. What arises is moving.

Hello Rashad, I'm thinking that one point that contributes to your issue gaining work is your consideration that you are a 'humble' person. You say that you take 'meager work' and 'often do very poorly.' Why do you take the meager work in the first place if you describe the experience as 'poorly'?

I find that we often have two goals at the same time: one is the goal we want to reach (such as getting work), the other is the goal of the self image we want to construct while achieving the first goal (in this case, I want to get work AND I want to appear humble). Maybe the work that is lucrative, safe and worthy of your abilities requires you to not be humble? Is it important for you to maintain this humility?

In my experience, it doesn't matter. When we are truly humble, we don't think we're humble, we just do what we do as normal behavior (and other people might see it as humility, but we don't have the goal of making other people see us that way). When I want work, I do what it takes. If it means showing up in a big way and asserting the talents I have in a flattering way, then that is what it takes.

Cheers!
