Leo put on the brakes and back up a bit

Near 1:26:00 in your episode you assume that I accepted all my parents and schools faulty programming. I didn't I always had a struggle with what they were labeling me as and what I thought I was (if I was even anything at all). Even though no one told me that what was going on didn't make any sense there was something coming up from inside me that told me that anyway. I didn't have to be told by my parents that when they were attacking each other through me in their divorce that it was bad and uncomfortable. I told myself that my school sucked and probably wouldn't help me in the long run AND I WAS RIGHT. It was my own open mindedness that led me to this channel with out anyone telling me.

The thing is that I think some people have something inside of them that just doesn't blindly accept the influences around them. Some spirit from deep with in themselves that no parent, teacher, and/or family member can just shove down their throat. Or I may be wrong I don't know. We all don't know but, that's what makes it more interesting :)

@Revolutionary Think You still accepted a lot of beliefs which you're yet unconscious of.

Rebels are not as rebellious as they like to think. You still have a lot in common with your culture and parenting.

And reacting against a teaching often just creates an ideology of the opposite kind, which is no better.

Case and point you said 12th grade in your opinion should be a must. Although in the same exact video you said that was what messes people up. Like in school I had a lot of terrible ideologies tried to be shoved down my throat and if we disagreed we'd be ostracized in some way shape or form. Also I use to have a staunch ideology against those teachings in the opposite direction until it caused me a lot of emotional pain and damage now I am in fact more grounded. I used to think that we needed the opposite system and everyone who disagreed with me was an evil heretic. Now though I am much more nuanced in my way of thinking knowing that I can't impose my reality on anyone else because the way my mind sees things and the way their mind sees things can be Universes apart. So yes you are right I did happen to have the ideology in the opposite direction until a year or two after I realized it wasn't worth it and just as bad. This was way before actualized.org and I even wrote about it in a personal journal.

@Revolutionary Think Obviously, since you're here, you have avoided some nasty ideologies in life. Otherwise you could not be openminded enough to watch my videos. So you did something right. More than most people.

Probably 90%+ of the world cannot watch my videos. Because they are simply too attached to some ideology.

A lot of openminded people find it hard to understand that most of the world is closedminded, and that if not but for a bit of luck, you would have been one of the closedminded ones.

Crazy isn't it... Somehow though through all of those debates I was watching between atheist and religious people I was really searching for someone like you. I didn't know where you existed, who you would be, and/or if you would have an online presence but, I said to myself out of all these dogmatic scientists, atheists, conservatives, libertarians, priests, and rabbis there has to be someone out there who has a sense of nuance. Just doesn't have a black and white all in way of thinking. I knew that if I went with the religious people then I had to follow all of those old, archaic, boring, and not modern rules just so I can please some invisible dictator in the sky on the other hand if I went with the atheists that would take all the beauty and wonder out of life and what's the point of doing anything after that. I said there had to be some kind of thinking out there in this day and age that can really be nuanced and find some kind of truth that's not black and white and at the same time it isn't virulently dogmatic (like religious extremism) it's also not completely depressing (like militant atheism) and so here I am.

It's funny how when I joined that program for $1000 to make better YouTube videos and become an influencer I met this Malaysian guy living in Japan who wanted to do the same thing. He asked me what my channel was about and I said it was about self-improvement and I was completely against pop culture then after I said that he introduced me to your channel. It was like finding an island of sanity in a sea of stupidity. All the time I'd point out logical and moral inconsistencies within any system whether it was school, family, society etc. people would just get frustrated at me for pointing them out and telling me I should just learn to live with it. Until I stumbled upon your videos and this community. I'm just wondering though eventually in the future when all of your work dissipate do you think that the tides will eventually turn and the world will become more self-actualized and go higher up the spiral dynamics or enlightenment stages or is the pendulum swinging the other way towards hatred, ignorance, corruption, and ideology?

The world is constantly evolving. People are more openminded every decade, every century, every millennium.

It is a good time to be alive.

Leo made an assumption about his audience I took it personally and I cleared it up he understood it and then he gave me faith for the future...
