Awake And Sometimes Alone!

5 posts in this topic

I am been on this journey to spiritual enlightenment for quite awhile now, and I can really say my point of view has shifted greatly. I was raised in a very religious house hold and since I have been on this journey my spiritual beliefs has shifted as well. Being programmed all your life to believe in a religion, can be very hard to break away from. One because of fear of what you were taught if you were to ever go astray form those beliefs. Now at this point in my life when I am around the same religious people I have grown up with including my mother, I just don't feel as if I have the same connection but I want to. I want to share with them everything I feel I have learned so far but I know I will be chastised for it I'm sure lol! So it makes me feel like I have to keep my mouth shut because I don't feel people will understand. Has any ever had an experience like this?

I didn't have your experience, because my family is not very religious. But I was on a christian church like two or three years. I learned a lot and I moved. Now I'm not sure what the people I used to see in the church think about why I left. But I am pretty sure that they think that "the devil" has lead me astray hehehehe...

You are in a more difficult situation than me if your family is very religious.

Don’t you realize that all of you together are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God lives in you?

It's tough. And yeah, more often than not, it's best to keep your mouth shut if stirring the pot is not your favorite thing to do.

As you learn and grow, you will find amazing opportunities to share yourself, with strangers and loved ones alike. Don't let anyone discourage you from finding your true self. The more you discover it, the easier it gets, I promise!

I just keep it quiet and do my thing. Yes, it feels lonely at times, but it's all part of the Hero's journey.
