Regarding Mindfulness: Lack of Physiological sensations in the lower body?

1 post in this topic

I’ve watched Leo’s videos about Mindfulness and also emotions in which he said that emotional awareness inside of the body is key to emotional mastery.

The peculiar that has happened to me is that I don’t experience any physiological sensations inside of my body, they seem to be just mental. That means, no tensing up, no sweating or anything when anxious or anything similar to this. Despite this, when crying, I do sometimes seem to feel sensations like a lump in my throat and heavy strain on my voice.

Is this development normal in the beginning, or is it actually possible to nearly only experiencing emotions mentally? To what degree is lack of bodily sensations inside of the scope of normality, and when does one know that it’s just the lack of progress?
