A Life Purpose Trap?

4 posts in this topic

As I am making my way through Leo's Ultimate Life Purpose course I feel like I am falling into a little bit of a trap (or maybe not).

All of us, by nature of simply participating in this community, have some degree of a passion for personal development.  So when I view life purpose, the obvious and easy answer to me is to pursue some kind of personal development related life purpose as Leo did since most people are MASSIVELY unconscious, unaware and have no desire to do anything other than find more effective ways to stimulate themselves.

Has anyone else had similar thoughts or is that a possible purpose I should pursue?

I don't understand this sentence. How are these two opposed? Did you mean, "and"?

That aside, I think that may be a good path for you. Are you thinking of life coaching or something similar?

No.  Just asking if other people made the same observation OR if that was not the experience that other people had and that it was an internal signal I should listen to.

You can't have a very large impact as a life coach.  You're not going to "change the world".  Life Coaching would be a part of my journey though, but only to better understand the problems that most people deal with so that I could better tailor my final vision to help raise the level of awareness that the common woman/man have.

Can you define "personal development related life purpose" if you don't mean life coaching?

I've gone through the course and don't think I experienced much of this. I don't really envision trying to spread these philosophies much- the main point is to have an impact that resonates with you personally, and at least as a first go-around I think I was able to come up with some decent goals. I'm still relatively young and definitely agree with Leo in the course when he said sometimes you just need to go out and get more life experience, so that's what I plan on doing, while working towards the life purpose I'm able to define in the meantime.
