After 6mos of keep doing meditation , now i cannot last 20 minutes

What should my mindset here? What should i do.. my mind wants to waste time..i cannot control myself.. usually i am controlled that my time of meditation is at night doing it makes me sleepy.. or evem i am wide awake, i cannot wait till the timer goes on.. i can meditate maybe for 20 minutes but even my mahamudra and concentration meditation is at lose track.. that i do those things for the sake of doing it not to take a break.. so 11:30 i will start so in 20 minutes i will do mahamudra, concentration and meditation... before 12:00 am.. because 12 am is counted as another day..

When I started meditating I started with a goal to come out of social anxiety. So every time I experiened a stressful situation I knew I will be meditating today hardcore because I hate anxiety more then anything. That kept me going all my life without missing a single day. Literally without a single day break in over 3years.

So what you need is a goal. You need to know what is it that you want to achieve and that will drive you. Just doing some ritual everyday without having a slightest idea what or why you doing it is almost impossible.

why are you meditating so late? Sleepiness may be an issue, our natural circadian rhythm is trained to want us to sleep at around 10pm (window 9-11pm) you should meditate either first thing you wake up, or if your busy then, or lazy like me lol, try doing it at sunset. Even better if you can go outside and face the sun and get exposed to some healthy rays (since kriya tells us to face east)

Resistance is very strong,. I cannot sit the way i do it before,. I can push myself but after 6months I don't know i want to facebook.. i want to watch vlogs.. even leo's video i cannot watch it.. plus  i try to do youtube videos.. so i am very occupied and i dont know what is the reason why i am doing meditation huhuhu

My youtub channel is about interconnectedness and understanding each Paradigm of my guest in my youtube videos.. haha maybe i can use that? I don't knooooooow huhh before i can push myself.. i can meditate each time to time.. i can push myself but niw resistance is strongggggg.. emotion is fading.. and when it cones to imagining i cannot imagine

@John Iverson Long time no speak buddy!

In my opinion, maybe you just need a little break. Not too long, maybe a weekend to just get your urges out of the way. Relax and just enjoy being. I think the second you make meditation and enlightenment basically a second job, you will lose your focus on it because the focus is on getting it done as opposed to the inward searching it should be on.

If that makes any sense lol

I meditate automatically throughout all my activities in the day

so the drive to sit down and meditate has become for rare cases when I feel I really need it, I need more guidance or answers

for me a structured meditation has become more of a sacred happening, I don't chose when I need to do it, those moments come by their own, so even this structure is now part of the flow for me

 

every single moment you have meditated, you are meditating now

the past is now, it is your ally

once a man or a woman meditates, he or she meditates always
