Being between stages in Spiral Dynamics

How many stages can you represent at a time? 

Sometimes I hear about people representing like two stages that are beside each other, 

For example Trump Red/Orange ... 

But what about the blue in between?  

It seems like people can be spread across like 3 stages ... or more??  How does this work?
