I have done both...and I decided to do the one I felt was right for me. I have been a workaholic for many years and thus I naturally resonated with the "Do-Nothing" meditation since it requires a letting go of all effort and control and decision making.

Try both and see which one you resonate with

@Capital Both. I like to do a small concentration practice (5 minutes) right before any meditation technique.

I like the spiritual heart meditation?

It's just concentration on chest? That's all?

BTW I practice concentration on my breaths. It is not deep breathing exercise, but observing natural breaths.

@Violina It is that simple :) Focusing on the breathe can take you all the way to the deepest levels of unconditional love/enlightenment if that is your desire.

I focus on the rising and falling of my chest, the expansion and contraction of my lungs ♥️ If you can feel energy in your hearts location you can focus there instead of the chest.

Hope this helps you reach a deep feeling of love and oneness that you deserve, because it’s what you’re made of.

Feel your hearts embrace of this moment of existence, and your love will awaken in everything you perceive ❤️

If you want to stop overthinking and the monkey mind in general the best technique is the concentration meditation.

And for enlightenment purposes the letting go of everything.
