@Paulus Amadeus That's fine. Is that healthy though? For me an enlightened person should be able to make money, but in a conscious way. They should be able to exploit others for their talents and gifts and use that to invest back into society. Currently all of the world's wealth is supposedly concentrated into a very small handful of people, and that is causing problems.

Getting enlightened before passing through stages of being in the world is going to have an effect of aborting self actualization. What good is the enlightened person to us now if all they do is practice and don't put back into the system?

I'm not saying the system is right, but i am saying it's not right to abandon it. Of course everybody has a right to do what they want, and they will, there is no way around that. I just think it's a cop out and a waste for the rest of us if someone chooses to run away from the system. It actually doesn't really sound liberated to me. I imagine liberation is liberation through limitation, the liberation to choose the life you want and not be ruled by our machine like most of us are.

Being IN the world, but not OF the world.

If you are enlightened even just being is enough. Your beingness will touch people's lives. Have you heard about the homeless man who was about to commit suicide and because of the eye contact and smile of one single stranger while the crossed each other, he decide to stay alive and totally turned his life around?

@Zweistein I think @pluto's picture is perfect. The darkness in the middle scares most people off...they'd rather look at the fake world, painted just how they like to imagine it...

In most cases this image explains most of these questions.
