Disturbing thoughts that trigger a burning sensation.

17 posts in this topic

Hello,

Lately i've been experiencing a bunch of traumatic memories that pop into my mind, and they basically trigger a huge burning sensation in the solar plexus area. It's very disturbing, and i don't know how to deal with it.

In the past i've done EMDR sessions with my therapist, but they didn't really fix it.

for me every time i experience something "cringy" or I have sudden self awareness near people, or generally something would happen that triggers me emotionally I feel that burning sensation in my chest.

I guess the only solution is to first not resist it, whatever happens let it be, resistance will only make it worse. second do some shadow work and go deep into those memories and see what's the problem, what's holding you, face your fear, surrender to it. you can also do some shamanic breathing or take psychedelics. if it's way too intense to do alone you can go try a different therapist, I think their quality varies a lot. do some spiritual work, consciousness work, meditation, yoga, chakra work, yada yada...

this stuff is common at least to some degree, everybody experiences strong emotional triggers sometimes, though for some trauma might amplify it, that means that for these people it takes more hardcore work to overcome. try reading books, "loving what is" "the sedona method" are really really helpful.

take what I say with a grain of salt

Confront the traumatic memories, those traumatic experiences made physical blockages in the body.

The river has to flow, let it flow, be in that circumstance again, understand the circumstance, release the blockages. One will feel similar pain as in the past. Use the breath to help with it. There is no way around trauma. It has to be re-lived again.

I've been trying that, but man it's really hard. The last time i dug into it, my whole body started to heat up and i felt like i was going to burn. Also my breathing was out of control and it felt like something was choking me.

I've been coming to that conclusion lately. It's very hard to admit it to myself. I'm just scared. Are there negative consequences in doing this on my own?

Yea well, for me it's kinda the same but it shifts very quickly. I guess it's because i'm scared to feel it.

I think i've created some sort of automatic response to run away from it. It goes very quickly. A thought or memory pops up and i immediately focus on my solar plexus area.

Are these on Leo's book list?

You can only do it by yourself, there is no way around it. Nobody can relive your traumas. I myself had very bad traumas.

Use stones, silver and gold, incense to keep you in a high vibration.

@Quanty Who is your spiritual teacher?

Breath. There is no higher spiritual teacher than the flying dragon.

Hey, i'm not sure what you mean by using stones, silver and gold. Also, do you have any recommended books that might help me with this?

If you want to do it, "the MIND way", Leo Gura has an entire library, check it out. Check Archive.org too.

I teach esoterics and raw material, raw awakening. Check my posts if you wish.

By the way, please guys, check the content on LEO, he is very good in the logical side of the matter. He is one of the best I've seen in terms of not letting go, even if he loses a battle he will not lose the war.

Aaaaaah! That's so f*cked up but true.So true.

@Psyche_92 haha I really can't help cause  I'm helpless lol

Really, let it be,let it pass through you in you,and let it go. Watch all of those. You see,you suffer for a certain amount of times, and then it goes, that is happening everytime. Every single time the same f**king thing. It is what it is. You just decide you're going to suffer a bit more, and more. A few hours,a couple of days,a week. Then it leaves your body, and suddenly you feel better. Nobody asked you when and how. All happens just because. You just experience those whether you want it or not. Personally,I experiene resistance when such feelings come in surface so the pain is double the amount of intensity . cool.! Haha You can't do nothing about it and you dont have to. If you think you can change it then you suffer a greater deal. Over thinking makes it worse. Breathing deeply makes it better. Recognizing it makes it feel lighter. This too shall pass.

To maybe help with my experience, the pain is no joke.

I was bullied to such an extent in school in a post-communist era, being a Christian, then I lost my voice literally. My father away from the family with work. I started to stutter and tremble for years. Developed social anxiety that i had to eat all the trauma, relive it. All my childhood, teenage, and even into college. Convulsions the first 15 years of my life with lung problems. I did the hard part and the hard work, and I still do it, every single day. I had to realize that this awakening and life is a Lonely full-time job (like Leo said in his videos). Working physical jobs for many years (construction), building houses with my father. Only after I got alone in the countryside for more than a year, I started to come back and discover the real me, etc.

well, try to be more mindful, and if it goes away so be it.

the most important part is if u recognize it and become aware that you resist, let go.

Same... That's where all my trauma is from :/. Biggest problem is that these days i can't go outside without seeing one of my bullies... It's fucked up.
