Fulfillment

15 posts in this topic

Lately, i have been treating almost everything as a transactional process and it has been making me question fulfillment.

Processes that i used to enjoy now no longer seem to satisfy me, and i am left with a feeling of "seeing through" it.

No cravings, no stimulation, no external thing has fulfillment anymore...

I am not sure where to turn, but i would like to hear your thoughts and experiences about fulfillment. Do you have it? Are you seeking it?

Just like everything else, what you're going through will pass eventually. I kinda know what you're talking about, even though I don't really know how to help you with it. My advice would be just to watch it and observe what is happening within you. If what you're talking about is what I think it is, then it is a transitional period from egocentrsim to a switched focus on other people around you and their wellbeing, as it's no longer exclusively about you and your immediate gratification but much more about the improvement of the wellbeing of others. In terms of Sp.Dyn.-Stages I'd classify it as a movement from orange to a healthy green. But maybe I could be wrong based on the amount of information that you presented regarding your current situation, but also... maybe not, that's up to you to judge I guess.

EDIT: Concerning your question of having and/or seeking fulfilment - obviously as long you seek it, you can't have it, so that's a small paradox in and of itself:)

@DocHoliday I have a lot of green tendencies but i feel that i glossed over orange because of how shallow it made me feel. Need to go back and develop a healthy orange so that my the stage green becomes more stable, if that makes sense.

@K VIL To me, the morning is full of confusion because of all of the dreams i have, sometimes up to 5 recorded dreams. It feels like lifetimes have past and then i wake up, in my bed, questioning the validity of it all. Very strange...

With the LP you mentioned, for some reason the question "And then what?" Keeps appearing, i haven't been able to shake it.

I need to focus on the process instead of the result, is that it???

For me fullfiment happen when I do someting that a love (enjoying the process without needing anything in return) or something that I find okay but that will help me do someting that I love in few years ( transactional process that is align with my deepest longing) .

What do you mean by transactional process and what make you start treating almost everything as it ?

You are already fullfiled and to not see this ego creats all kinds of distractions where is cycle of want and fulfillment without the end neverending process...

@Sahil Pandit Yeah, makes total sense and it’s also quite necessary. I feel the same way with strongly leaning yellow but almost having skipped green entirely, so right now I constantly have “to go back” and explore green a lot more - at it makes everything so much richer and sweeter!

As for your LP and such, I can relate a lot to what you’ve mentioned, especially to your struggle with the “and then what..?” question. How it seems to me is that you need to focus more and what is right now instead of focusing on what will be in the future, because as you said: you started to see through it - and that’s great! Only problem is is that it brings a certain notion and feeling of worthlessness and meaninglessness with it that one needs to work through at first. I had to face the same some time ago and thus, my focus switched a lot more from myself - to others, as it can be- and is quite fulfilling to me to see others thrive and advance in their personal development. I really don’t care that much anymore about what happens to me, although there’s clearly a certain tendency there, like 30% me, 70% others. But still, that’s largely due to the necessity for a certain degree of orange-ness because you obviously need to get money somehow, so...yeah. But, the world is clearly in a strong phase of transitioning to overall green, so perhaps bringing forth and pushing that silent evolution will also give you some fulfilment back.

EDIT: BTW, have you seen/read my latest post in which I have posted some more of my book that I'm writing? You seemed interested in it, so just wanted to point it out to you.

@Sahil Pandit

Could be that you're evolving and that the things that used to fulfill you just don't anymore. Pretty common on the self-actualization path.

To me, fulfillment comes from tapping into Source, contribution, growth and tangible results. Take anything out of the equation and things become unbalanced.

I too get almost no stimulation from external stuff anymore, including social interactions. That's cuz fulfillment comes from within, the knowing of what you are. The fact that you exist should be enough, the fact that you are alive. Fulfillment is not in the future, it is here now and comes when there is no more desire.

Well, it is a great journey, what we call life. Enjoy what fulfills you now. After you experience more with yourself, let go and enjoy the next stage and so on.

@dynamics Transactional process as in,

An experience arises, whatever it may be, pleasant or unpleasant, (doesn't matter) it is experienced, and then it is gone. All day, over and over. An endless cycle.

For example, i thought that i would find joy/love in a long bike ride. So i rode 20 miles. When i got back, i felt the same as before i had left. The experience happened, and then it was experienced, then gone... No amazing sense of accomplishment or fulfillment.

I feel this with almost everything in my life.

Fulfillment comes from growth and expansion.  When you integrate your Life Purpose with the systems of your life and the world, that creates powerful fulfillment.
