Why is this forum so interested in the movie paranormal?

I’d just genuinely like to know why much of the focus of this forum has drifted from getting enlightened to mental masturbation over whether certain phenomena exist or not.

from my perspective, solving the issue of wether such things exist or not is as simple as finding a psychic and seeing if they’re accurate. No mental masturbation required. And after you’ve done so, get to work pursing real spiritual wisdom.
