How to stop doubting my mind

10 posts in this topic

How do I know if my expectation is aligned with how things should be? What’s the best way to tell that you are ‘objectively right’, or close to it, if that’s even possible.

I quite often doubt my mind, and the decisions I make, as I know that I’m just speaking from my subjective experience and am at times awfully wrong. This leads to a lack of confidence in making any meaningful decisions, and hesitation to assert what I think, as I don’t even know if I have the right (or in the right) to assert it.

E.g. I feel I am getting too overworked at my job. How do I know if that’s true, or am I just being a bitch?

You need to raise your self-esteem. Read: "The six pillars of self-esteem" by Nathaniel Branden.

@Knock Perhaps you are being overworked. It is the employer's job to get the most work out of you for the least money after all. If it up to you whether it's true.

I understand that's the issue, you don't know whether it's true or not. But it is generally a good idea to trust your feelings.

God and I worked things out

@Knock Relativly speaking (job, work) there is no true, no right or wrong, no good or bad, no “knowing” of these. The situation (reality) is your subjective projection. Freedom is you...creating a scenario in which you are appearing other than free. Tap into you and bring freedom into your life (projection). Perhaps your employer knows this.

Things are always the way they are supposed to be. Don't should on yourself.

This response resonates with me. However, I am unsure of what action to take. Should I focus on self-inquiry then? I feel that what I am having to do for work is beyond what any reasonable human would expect. However, I live in an area of high unemployment, and have been unemployed myself before.

I guess the questions swirling around my head are:

Is my boss taking advantage of me? Should I try and move jobs? Or is this how it is, and I have to learn to stop whining and accept it?

It's hard to accept I am creating a scenario where other aspects of my life are being unhealthily compromised because of work.

I  worked a full time job, went to college full-time, and had two part time jobs for years.  i’m not trying to brag, I’m saying that so you know that I hear you loud and clear.

This is a consciousness question in my opinion. The answer begins with, what do you want?

I’m  not trying to be the Ridler, you can’t give somebody else consciousness, best you can do is help them discover what they are and what they’re capable of.

1)How many places you have worked at, if you have a good amount of sample you should know if you are overworked or not.

2)You can try to google company ex employee reviews, it should give you some insight on how bad it is

Find other job while you are employed  or,

stay and find out why it is so hard for you to work there, could be many reasons.

It could be that you are overworked and that is why you have problems to make decisions as you are tired, it could be that it is just hard for you to

make decisions because of inner conflict which again with workload makes you tired.

I would be happy to try to give better advice , but information you gave is very limited
