what does a completely green society look like?

46 posts in this topic

Leo counted universities and different companies and basically most of the organizations active in a country as orange so if a country was fully green would it stop having those organizations in it and people would just sit around doing nothing cause there would be nothing else left to do?

People in the green stage are still productive and spend a ton of money.

Lewis Howes' podcast "The School of Greatness" has a ton of successful stories from people in the "green stage". https://www.youtube.com/user/lewishowes/videos These people aren't lazy. They work hard but they are conscious about "how" they are working and why they are working. Some of these people may even appear "orange" at first until you hear their story and the reason behind their mission.

In a green society, any company that sells "organic" or "locally grown" food will continue make a ton of money.

Also, surprisingly, Tesla, Hershey and IKEA appear to be orange at first sight but they are actually "green" companies. And many more companies are following in their footsteps.

I would also like to argue that even Disney is really green. Many of their movies like "Brother Bear", "Moana", "Pocahontas", "Brave"etc. are green stage . Some of their movies like "Inside Out" are even bordering the yellow stage.

Other huge top selling movies like Avatar and the Black Panther are "green stage" movies. And many movies border the yellow stage like The Matrix and LOTR.

Not to mention the entire music industry as well falls into the red, blue, orange, green and yellow stages.

Also, there are new fads like the "Tiny House" movement which is a Green movement but it keeps the economy moving. It's still a ton of work to make these houses. The Tiny House movement is HUGE right now amongst the green stage. Check out https://www.youtube.com/user/livingbigtinyhouse

Also, people in the green stage travel A LOT. Many of them hate 9-5 jobs and have flexible jobs and use their money on traveling the world. Fun For Louis is a popular example of this. Louis travels non-stop almost every day and films it online. He is green stage.

There are tons of countries that live primarily in the green stage. But there are also many areas in the United States already living like this.

Many citizens live in the green stage in Hawaii and California. And a lot of highschool and college graduates in the United States are moving to Hawaii and California for this reason.

People in the green stage are not lazy. Many of these people in the green stage are entrepreneurs and own their own businesses either locally or on the internet. They are smart and hustle. But they hustle consciously. They follow their passion and don't do any work that doesn't serve their heart. Some live communally or are a part of work/living arrangements where you work on the land and they pay your rent.

Some make their own food often in their backyard, some follow the "zero waste" movement and some follow a minimalist lifestyle which reduces their expenses.

I would also like to add that I think millennial and Generation Z are forcing many corporations to turn green stage. A lot of orange stage companies are experiencing low sales because millennial refuse to buy from them due to their lack of consciousness. And  behaviors that Gen X thought was okay Millenials won't support.

I already see many cities becoming green stage even in "fast-paced" cities like New York and Philadelphia.

A very typical Orange fear. Orange believes that it must always be competing, otherwise nothing will get done.

In reality, you can chill out and still accomplish work. You don't need a cutthroat attitude to be creative, productive, and happy. You don't need to work 60 hours a week.

Scandinavian countries are very Greenish. They also have the highest happiness index. Higher than the US.

When you have your basic survival needs satisfied, that's when life gets really interesting. Now you have time for art, education, philosophy, spirituality, self-actualization, exploration, community, bonding, deep relationships, raising their children to be good people, helping the world, etc.

That's all well and good but the whole way our society works right now is very cut throat and orange.

It's go to school, learn something, work, preferable for the lowest income possible, and top of that out compete and perform better than other ppl.

If you look carefully they trying to force you into wage slavery.

They don't even want to pay minimum or low wages, they prefer to take their call centres, production, and outsource everything to countries like india and china for $3 a day sweat shops.

Here's  what i dont get, if an organization is orange and people turn into green after some time, would they eliminate the organization entirely or would they only change their way of doing things slightly?

Scandinavian countries are extremely capitalistic too. Most rank higher than U.S. on economic freedom and have very low corruption. So it's kind of collective individualism.

Lol, that's Green! Green does not abolish capitalism. Green softens out cold, heartless capitalism with regulations and heart.

Stop conflating Green with radical Marxism. This is the problem with what Jordan Peterson teaches. It's a gross demonization and misrepresentation of Green which makes Orange and Blue people think that Green is evil, Soviet-style Communism. But it isn't. That was Blue/Red.

No, they would not eliminate the organization. Green is all about community and organizing. Green's organizations just have a flat hierarchy and are focused on human relationships rather than pleasing authority figures or meeting aribitrary sales quotas.

A hippie commune is a great example of a Green organization structure. Or if you're looking for corporate examples, think of companies like Google, who treat their employees pretty well, providing lots of on-campus benefits, and have people work in small open groups.

Lots of NGOs are Green. The UN is Green-ish.

Green wants human-centered, heart-centered communities.

@Outer Yes, smaller video game developers tend to skew Greenish. Although the game industry is brutally Orange in other ways, like when it comes time to ship, with months of crunch which burn employees out.

Video game developers are about 50% Orange and 50% Green. At least the good ones. The bad ones are 90% Orange.

What about godaddy? Is it better to make a website on Google or godaddy?

Burning Man is the epitome of Green. That's Green taken to 11, and still functioning in a healthy manner.

@sarapr @sarapr@sarapr [mobile actualized.Org doesn't let me delete the extra "sarapr" s]

It depends on how green manifests. Each stage can express itself in a wide variety of ways. But if we're discussing how an abstract "pure green" would manifest itself there may be less variation than I initially implied.

Hark ye yet again — the little lower layer. All visible objects, man, are but as pasteboard masks. But in each event — in the living act, the undoubted deed — there, some unknown but still reasoning thing puts forth the mouldings of its features from behind the unreasoning mask. If man will strike, strike through the mask! How can the prisoner reach outside except by thrusting through the wall? To me, the white whale is that wall, shoved near to me. Sometimes I think there's naught beyond. But 'tis enough.

@Leo Gura: Why are you not loving Jordan Peterson yet? Or are you?
After all Jordan Peterson = Leo Gura = you (whoever reads this) = me = we.... Right?

@Zweistein I was loving him just yesterday ;)

It's a good exercise for the mind, like bench pressing 300lbs.

@Leo Gura

And today? And tomorrow? Will you be able to keep loving him no matter what happens?
