Stephen Hicks Explaining Postmodernism- the development of stages blue/orange/green

3 posts in this topic

An interesting lecture by Stephen Hicks a Canadian-American philosopher who studied the development of the premodern era the modern and the postmodern .

His model looks similar to the developments of the stages blue, orange and green in spiral dynamics. he brings good points regarding postmodernism and the dangers it may have on society from a political stance. he explains the philosophical foundations of postmodernism and how it differentiate from the modern and the premodern philosophical fundamentals.

Overall this is a good lecture Imo and it can add some depth to the current discussion regarding spiral dynamics.

Looks like a good primer.

Watch my Derrida episode after you're done with this.

I get the sense that most people still haven't understood the significance of what was said in the Derrida episode.

And I have a really great book about Derrida in my book list. Highly recommend it if you want to understand post-modernism properly. And it's any easy and fun read! (Which is very rare for Derrida books.)

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.
