Do you have daily stillness?

14 posts in this topic

I think im getting there.

I started meditating daily since the other Friday and the effects of meditation have been lasting longer and longer.

I did one yesterday and the effects lasted till today's meditation.

Its not completly still but my thought activity went from 90 to 30 to 15\10%.

Have you heard the saying from the Bhagavad Gita-

"The one who sees actionlessness in action and action in actionlessness is wise".

It means, "pure" awareness is actionless, always present and it permeates every-thing. "Reflected" awareness (objects- subtle and gross) is in action and constantly changing.

When you can see they are "not two" seperate things (action and actionlessness). They are like the reflection in a mirror- how far is the reflection in the mirror, from the mirror itself?

So, at any time, meditating or not, if there are thoughts/feelings/emotions,  recognize and/or notice, if you can, actionlessness (awareness) in them (objects-action) and vice versa.

So, they are you (created out of awareness, depend on awareness), but you are not them (pure awareness, substratum of all objects).

Hope that made sense? Lol

My point is you can allow them to be.

I forgot to answer the question. Yes, I do, but I flip back and forth between the "awareness channel" and the "person channel", depending on what's expected of me and where I'm at.

Example- work can be high stress, fast paced and many thoughts arise to deal with the issues ( "person" channel).

At home relaxing, low stress and low expectations. (Awareness channel).

I'm not. Are you able to surrender all thought?

Yes. I surrendered to every possible thought.

I dont understand what you are going to benefit from attaching or being scared of a thought xD

So, you have no attachments? No habits, no desire, no fear? None.

If this is true and you are Self-realized and you know you aren't the doer/enjoyer, then you're liberated (enlightened).

Not yet haha

I have habits, like playing videogames or meditating but non are obsessive or compulsive.

Desire? Humn, sometimes i desire for my friends to talk with me and they ignore me but I barely feel hurt. I have desire to do things though

Fear? Its not an usual emotion

Let me back track a moment... liberated people still have desire/fears, but they are non-binding, so they don't have to act on them, but they can or they can do something else.

Also, habits that aren't opposed to dharma are fine.

Depends on how much is the body in homeostasis/harmony/healing and the release of tensions in the core body.

Only whom can detach from the muscles and access the reptilian parts of the body can achieve relaxation.

I'm not really saying that you are liberated.

Anyway, numbness is an object known to you. So what if you feel numbness? Why is it something "you" have to or even can, overcome?

Numbness is a sign of other human beings whom you listen in the past and followed them in the subconscious. Only Kundalini can reopen the path to feeling again.
