So basically if you were a kid in the 90s all those old Pokemon cards you may still have lying around somewhere have gone up in value over the years until recently where they have completely ballooned to insane numbers of value. Basically a big social media influencer (Logan Paul) got into it and now buying old Pokemon cards is now something instagram celebrities are doing....  and of course whenever this happens it attracts stage orange devils looking to scam and manipulate the market in their favor and make some money.

Not sure how workable of a System it will end up being, but one really good idea I've heard discussed alongside a Resource Based Economy is to design consumer electronics to be more modular in design, so that you could say replace its CPU when it starts to become outdated, rather than tossing the whole unit in the Trash.

Of course that would require a much less wasteful economic system than the one we have, but maybe it could become a possibility one day.

That's absurd. Faster CPUs require a new chassis with faster bus, better cooling, and other such factors. Not to mention that many devices are mobile and don't have space for modules.

The old units don't need to be tossed in the trash, they can be recycled. And usually before that happens they are resold many times over. No one just throws a CPU in the trash. They resell it.

The market is actually quite good as being efficient when it comes to stuff like this. Central planning such things would be less efficient and more wasteful.
