For 90 yo Warren Buffett diet is a joke meanwhile, some young people are scared of gluten, coffee, pasta... and constantly have to suppress their desire for tasty foods

I think this guy exaggerates how bad he felt. ~70% of all the health benefits of diet you can get is just from the fact of not being fat, if you're not fat you already gained most health benefits. Of course, most people will not be able to stick to a low/moderate calorie diet eating this way because high calorie-dense foods like Warren eats are not filling. Genetics is soo important

That's an interesting book which talks about the unhealthy aspects of VMEME Orange Gamer Culture, as well as how the Game Industry exploit the cognitive biases of their users in order to make profit out of it.

Most of the author's approach comes basically from mainstream behavioural and social psychology, but I found interest the way he conveyed that on to videogames.

I'm also sending these two South Park videos that talks about the some of the topics covered in this book: the freemium games.

No cause I've always been eating bread/pasta or 'junk' in moderation

Diet without foods I crave is not sustainable for me long-term

Everything in moderation, even moderation

Whatever it takes! Are you meditating 12 hours a day? No? So you're not doing whatever it takes

What do you find wrong in his mindset?

I do like his mindset a lot, in fact, I used to motivate myself by this kind of whatever it takes mentality (even to meditate). However, it's not for everyone, it can lead to burnout and injures to the body. This is to the contrary of what Leo said in today's video, don't overtrain yourself, feel if your body giving you signals to stop training etc.

Both are valid different approaches

I Agree. You have great mindset. Well done. But I don’t think they are contrary, Leo said do not over train, this guy said, do whatever it takes. Not overtraining, is included in whatever it takes.

The film There Will Be Blood is a great example of orange excess. The main character, Daniel Plainview, takes the son of a fellow oil worker (who dies from an accident at the beginning of the film) and carelessly raises him just so he can tell people he’s a “family man” and dupe them into his oil deals more effectively.

Towards the end (in the second clip) his grown-up, now-deaf son wants to start his own oil company, which to Daniel just means more competition, so he basically disowns his son while tauntingly revealing the truth that he’s adopted.

Daniel might have some stage red in him as well, but overall the film is a great depiction of toxic industrialist ambition.

Also, if someone already shared this film, sorry for repeat. Relatively new to the forum and didn’t feel like going through the whole rest of this thread.
