Anyone have history with neurofeedback?

12 posts in this topic

I'm really struggling with my ADHD right now. At the beginning of 2018 I finally got off 17 years worth of ADHD medication (currently 23 years old) as well as 5 other psych meds. I do have actual ADHD (was tested for 6+ months when I was first diagnosed) so I don't want to get into too much debate over that.

Either way though, I haven't been 100% off any medication since I was just a little kid so as you can imagine (for those that have a mature understanding of ADHD) things haven't just gotten better all because I'm off (which I expected). I have a meditation habit but this is just nowhere near enough in terms of developing focus, concentration, general attention, etc. I'm struggling more than ever with studying, losing shit all the time, and have gotten into several (very minor) car accidents.

I know @Leo Gura has been doing neurofeedback but I want to get some other people's take on this too as I think this can really help me.

So for those of you who have done neurofeedback training, what has the results been for you? How much does it usually cost?

Thanks as always! :)

yes, i've went to 60 sessions (3 rounds)

changed my life. had severe ocd, which became moderate OCD after neuro and now I have mild OCD after PD work.

this is by far the number 1 fucking thing i advocate for everyone to do. cured my friends migraines and it cured my sisters anxiety problems

If its not living in the present , it will never work.

New western medicine doesnt work unless its for phsyicall illneses. But go ahead, spend your money and see no to little progress. You are scared of putting in work because if you fail you will feel powerlessness but guess what, you can also succeed.

Take your dogma elsewhere. Science and western medicine isn’t the end all be all by any means but it has a place. That is absolute fucking nonsense. Do you how many diseases have been eliminated due to breakthroughs in western medicine? Clearly you’re not reading my first post to start this thread where I mentioned the part about how I got off 6 psych medications. Take your projections, criticisms and judgements elsewhere. Enlightenment and consciousness isn’t some end all be all to all the problems that exist.

Im not talking about physicall illneses, which can be cured with medicine, im talking about mental conditions like ADHD, they dont cure it. They just numb that part of the brain or make it slower which has to serious side effects but hey, just warning you, when you feel brain dead like I did, dont conplain. I have been through it, so its not a dogma, its reality.

How can a surgery cure thoughts? Only if you chop that part of the brain, do you really want to do that? Lmao, think a little.

This is a clear example of someone who doesn’t even know what neurofeedback is or even ADHD is for that matter.

Something few will understand.

Society has the most blockages in the 5th chakra. And they abuse this chakra with authority and fear comes from the pain inside, and the inability to focus on space/time.

Practice singing, it will help you for sure.
