Conflictive emotions

4 posts in this topic

Hi everyone. So this is the problem: I don´t know what to do about my own emotions.

On one side there is a video that tells people to do what is emotionally most difficult to do in order to have an acing life. On the other side there is another video to follow your emotions without resistance with complete awareness.

And there is something to add to this topic. When I meditate I notice that there is not single form of emotion in my body. There is a little bit of sadness, a little bit of anger, a littles bit of joy... It depends on the way you look at it. It is not like... I am 100% sad or angry. At this right moment there are several emotions. I am a very emotional guy and I see that emotions can be very tricky.

So I am confused.

I try to be self disciplined to achieve my long term goals but suddenly in my journey there is an emotion that tells me that I should do any other thing and that´s why I stop but If I neglect my emotions I don´t feel authentic to myself.

What should I do? I should follow my emotions? I should go through emotinos no matter what? Any thoughts about this?

Thank you in advance. (Sorry for my english if it is not perfect haha)

First of all, they are not your emotions. They just happen. Thoughts occur, feelings occur. Thats why u need to allow them (awareness) cause they won't leave ,they're not going anywhere, they just shift if you allow them to shift. They pass by like ocean waves.

Also,identification is suffering

Emotions are the bar you follow second to breath, they never lie, thoughts will.
