The Ego Is Not a Mistake

There is a fear or a resistance in us to let go of our sense of separation although it is at the same time the one thing we long for above all else.

For instance is that sometimes people are long for intimate relationship and at the same time they fear intimacy. They keep finding themselves going towards intimate relationship and just as they get to the brink they pull back again.

Why? Because in intimate relationship there is a brief loss of the sense of separation. It's what we long for. That's why we love intimate relationship. There is a brief, a temporary cessation of the sense of separation in which the separate self effectively dies, temporarily, doesn't die, it just goes to sleep.

We long for that because that is the end or be the temporary end of separation but it is also a kind of death. And for that reason we pull back because we recognize we are going to dissolve. We're going to lose our customary boundary.

Is it? The definition of illusion i think is something that appears to be there, but actually isn't. Perhaps ego is an illusion. 

Would we say: "The mirage is there, so it's not a mistake?" Perhaps we need to move closer and see. It appears to be there, but let's investigate how real it is.

i think that ego is not a mistake.

from an evolution point of view, you need an ego to survive, but when you got high enough intelligent, you dont need it.

You tell me? Do you not feed and care for yourself? Were you not born with a given name and surrounded by a society with a bunch of similar looking people who also have given names? Did you not get on your computer to type in your reply? 

separation and egos are appearances and at a higher consciousness level they do dissipate. But “normal” consciousness is still a thing. Survival is still a thing. What is real is relative to where consciousness is at. 

On normal days, my actions DO effect other apparent beings. I can make my mom cry by saying Who i am is an idea and I’m not actually real. So I’ll just fast till death. I’ve envisioned already, but what is the point of that anyways. If I am not ego and ego is illusion, I’m already dead. Doesn’t matter what I believe I am. So I live the egoic life that is and exists on this level. 

A lot of gurus and people here will proclaim that content is distraction, yeah if you’re mission is to see ultimate truth, otherwise it is also beauty and a reflection of the ultimate truth 

And after a few awakening experiences, I’m not about to give up relationships I’ve created. It doesn’t really matter what game I play, egoless game or ego game. I’m still alive and the universe/God is living through “me”.

its more complicated than my words can display. But at the end of the day, content is still here and it’s asking and coaxing itself to play along. So I, Sgt. Pepper play along. Knowing full well deep inside lies my real whole being, that is everything.
