What are some good yet cheap meditation retreat centers in the US?

I dont live in the US, so the plane ticket would be an additional cost, hence my desire to find something as cheap as possible and that lasts at least 10 days.

The ideal retreat is having a house or rent, somewhere in the mountains/countryside or a low populated beachside. 

Having the basics of food & water and spending weeks or months alone.

OP, where do you live? Have you looked closer to home, where they might even be free of charge? If you haven't, just Google something like "Vipassana retreats" and you'll see that they're all over the place. I did a 7-day retreat last month at Shambhala in Colorado, and it was wonderful.

Look into tye dhamma, they have centres all over the world run on donations
