Affective Positive Affirmations+images While Self-talking

7 posts in this topic

Cheers!

Have you ever or rather: Do you constantly use synthetic experience/images while doing affirmations (that are indeed nurturing and demonstrating your self-talk)?

Do you arouse positive, buildinf emotions (with time)?

Is there anything explicitly wrong or confusinf about that? Is it functional or would you rather recommend to stay only at words?

Have you had positive experiences regarding those?

Kind regards

Man I love this topic so much and it has sooooo much depth. We could just say that any possitive habit of thinking will have an enormous impact, and if you add other objects to the equation like an image, a smell, a word, something you do with your hands, or really anything it will have so much impact. If you associate these affirmations to more things it will be easier to create that emotion for yourself. Elite athletes use this and it's really effective.

You can find a lot of info on the internet :) I hope I helped

@ALGUIMAR I guess your advice gave me the urge to continue searching on!

Thank you for your answer!

I always found it reasonable to not worry about emotions, they arise sooner or later- if you want or not. Its a good thing and on top of that simply positive feedback to your discipline to continue drilling these affirmations into your mind so that these statements become by and by habitual and embeded into your subconscious^^

But I always ask myself if too much distraction from the mere concentration and thinking on the spoken is maybe weakening the results, or at least slowering it. Thats why I until now avoided doing affirmation while doing other things, walking excluded (but rather seldomly practiced, most of the time I tend to sit calmly and quietly as it is supposed to be, I guess).

@Majus I used to have that worry too! And I finally decided that the best way to avoid loosing this concentration is by spending some time every day simply feeding your mind with possitive mind sets and messages as well as images and so on. They will enter your subconscious in the end and really after doing this for some time I see mindblowing results!

In think and grow rich when he talks about affirmations he says to combine it with elevated emotion in order for it to work. Leo says that just the repitition without emotion is enough over time.

I've only done affirmations by repeating words without emotions and it's defo worked for me. Probably +30% +40% improvement in whatever I affirm after like 3 - 6 weeks and I do each for 8 weeks before moving on to reinforce them.

I tried visualising while doing them but it's distracting and hard to focus on the words. Maybe just saying the affirmations with hightened speech would accelerate the process. Could be a good idea.

@JimmySmalls .. as long as you can keep up following all its implications (the implications of the affirmation).

Thank you both!

There is a Tedx on turning affirmations into vision boards, also, many people combine visualizations and affirmations. I think that combination is something to strive to perfect, rather than trying to separate those functions.
