Loneliness

3 posts in this topic

Hey

So i broke up with my ex 2 weeks ago. Although I get sad and upset at times, I’ve been dealing with it pretty well - better than I expected to. Stopped smoking, been hitting the gym, joint a boxing club and eating a lot better. Basically keeping myself busy with positive changes so I don’t sit and dwell on the break up and feel miserable. But as soon as I do have free time or I’m not busy I feel incredibly lonely and low. Even socialising with friends in a busy bar on Saturday night, I felt alone and emotional. I’ve watched Leo’s video on how to deal with loneliness but maybe it’s a bit advanced for me as I’m not sure that I understand it properly. Has anyone got any tips on how to deal with feeling lonely? Or do you think this is just a stage of a break up that everyone goes through?

Learn to sit and accept the feelings, do an hour of Strong Determination Sitting everyday (if possible). Its good that you have hobbies but dont distract yourself from how you feel. Best of luck! Youll get better soon!

Dont look at me! Look inside!

@Claire151015 Sit, and be, without dwelling on the break up. Realize it’s only ever, now. She is not something in the past which is gone, but an appearance in now. What you liked / loved about her, was not actually “about her” or “coming from” her, it was this now people refer to. It came from you.
