If you concentrate intensely enough, even the subtle thoughts dissappear. And if you can, why not develop concentration to that degree?

Incase your concentration abilities might increase if you allow the subtle thoughts and move onto the next excersise. I'm not sure, I just want to get the technique down pat.

@Prabhaker  Not necessarily man, because that person who has strong concentration powers would also be able to concentrate on relaxing their bodies and mindful, or concentrate on blissful feelings

Someone who has strong concentration powers would feel greater compassion when  they choose to concentrate on it compared to someone with ordinary concentration

Through concentration, great powers are developed, you will become a specialist, you will become an expert but that ultimate relaxation we are seeking, does not happen. Your powers increase, but not your bliss. Concentration doesn't give relaxation from tension, but instead it will make you even more tense, you will be tired of it sooner or later.

Concentration is not awareness, and the person of concentration will never show compassion. Concentration is of the mind, in concentration you focus on one thing and you forget everything else. meditation is of consciousness.

He’s on to something. Might want to look into what he is saying :)

concentration is not meditation, but its an important stepping stone for meditation on the jnana path. You can't achieve proper self inquiry without the ability of very very intense concentration.

The questions is there an easier way to end time? Could time end for you perhaps today??
