Which Meditation?

3 posts in this topic

1. Focusing on the breath.  I don't think I can fight the mind with the mind.  But this is super boring and I might get under stimulated and therefore sucked back into anxious thoughts.  With that said, Leo said Being is an acquired taste.

2. Focusing on an image in the center of the belly.  This is more interesting and therefore might be easier to sustain.  But it might be fighting the mind with the mind.  And it might be harder to incorporate into my daily life, i.e. walking.

What do you think?

@CroMagna

1. Acquire it.  Sit through whatever arises.  All of your problems arise from not yet developing the ability to sit quietly in a room alone.

2. You’re already thinking. Why meditate?

Do what’s ever you want.

Then don't fight the mind, let it do whatever it wishes to do; use the Do Nothing technique

Spirituality is any movement towards the Unnamable. Everything is spiritual.

The only true way out Resistance is going into it because any way out of it is staying in it.

The purest life possible is surrendering to the Absolute.
