Emotionally attached to a job

Hello All,

i have found this site after watching a couple of Leo’s videos on YouTube which I think are excellent.

i am thinking about potentially getting councilling to help become less emotionally attached to a Job.  I love what I do, but have taken a lot of the tasks and failures of the team as an attack on myself, which itself has caused a whole heap of emotions.  I want to do my best sigh every piece of work and find myself stressing out over it to much to the point where no work gets delivered because I’m stressed.  I have now left that job because I got to emotionally involved, and want to use this time (between jobs) to focus on my emotions, to make sure that I don’t get caught in the same cycle wth the next role and the role after that! 

 

any tips of how to overcome this would be much appreciated.

1. Realizing that this will take years and years to fully master.

2. Start a daily meditation practice while you wait. Strive to meditate more and more for every month. 

3. With this you have everything you need to see what have need to see.

Honestly I don’t think counselling would help you with that or any external source. It may work to some degree but you are on your own for any inner world struggles that you are trying to overcome. No one could talk you into becoming emotionally detached from a job. However, you can find the answer through an external source, and work from there. And the answer is through deep contemplation, meditation, etc.
