What are the effects of thunder and lightning on a human body?

During a thunderstorm I feel a static energetic feeling in and around my body, which is really tiresome. Those feelings can last up to two hours after a storm.

Can anyone relate to these feelings? Is there an explanation why? Maybe even a solution to decreasing my intensity of these feelings?
