Sleep And Enlightenment?

5 posts in this topic

How do enlightened people experience sleep? I am a month or so into the process and I am just now finding that I'm having a lot of trouble falling asleep and then confusing myself even more by thinking things like.."who is there to fall asleep???" And then actually not being able to find somebody to fall asleep and then I cannot sleep. Is this supposed to happen? Is this part of the process or am I veiring off track?

@Abby Skvarce

There trouble is.... no PERSON / PEOPLE can get enlightened

As long as you think you are a person....there will be no enlightenment.

The "no sleep" you are asking about, is a mind trick trying to reassure the person that all is OK and that there is advancement..

Is it OK if there's no sleep coming? Or is there something fighting it?

If you are tired or need to sleep don't do contemplation at night. Do it while meditation or mindfulness meditation / do nothing .. Leo has a bunch of videos ! Practice mindfulness ! It is so powerful! also.. if you can't fall asleep because your mind is trying to generate an answer or find an answer be ok with not knowing... start embracing not knowing .

Best of luck

@Abby Skvarce  Hey, Abby, maybe you have to slow down a little bit. Probably you are overexcited right now:). Anyway, just let the dialog play and do not pay too much attention on it. Do not react on your thoughts as they are just thoughts.
