Is there any real benefits to lucid dreaming?

I've read many conflicting things about lucid dreaming. If you do lucid dreaming what benefits have you received ?

Well I've only started exploring this side of reality, and of course lucid dreams are very elusive, especially when starting out, meaning not many people will become good at it and will give up too early to experience benefits.

However, one reported "benefit" is the afterglow one gets after a really good lucid dream, which can stick with you from hours to days after you wake up. I can definitely report that myself.

Other reported benefits range from

.  Emotional and Psychological healing

. Body healing

. Direct contact with your true self/source

. Direct contact with ego/subconscious

. Better dream guidance because you have more chance of remembering the guidance and applying to your life.

A really great book that touches all these and more is Lucid Dreaming : gateway to the inner self by Robert Waggoner.

The ability to see that dream and reality are made of the exact same substance.

yeah that's deeper... definitely interests me.

also when you realize that no matter how many people/places/things are in your dream, you are only playing with yourself, which is basically the same as waking "reality"

Lucid and more spiritual/deep dreams come naturally as a byproduct of your practice.

And another good reason to practice continuously, your practice will come into your dreams as well.

A lucid dreamer is like an astronaut exploring the subconscious mind.

You can find here insights on your psyche, and creative solutions.

If you want to learn, I can't recommend enough "Are you dreaming ?" by Daniel Love.

He focus on techniques : psychological skills, brain chemistry & timing.

I did once ADA (all day awareness) & SSILD (senses induced) for one week, then WBTB > WILD > FA > RC.

Acronyms here : https://www.dreamviews.com/wiki/Acronym-List

The details were amazing. Nothing special really happened, but knowing that you're dreaming while experiencing this level of vividness and lucidity, was ground breaking.
