An enlighnment experience

Note: I hope I can explain my experience with a clear English

Last week, I met a guy who suggests me to go and travel with him. He had to go there to meet somebody in order to get some advice in order to improve his trading. When he asked me to go out with him. I said Ok....

He called me on the same night to stay in his house as the following day we are going to travel. We traveled by his car. As the car was moving in the highway, he was talking eagerly about many subjects, here and there, but I was looking and almost crying inside because of the beauty of the outside world was so touching. We remained in the same place. the car was moving from one place to another, but for me, it was in the same place all the time. The mountains we passed by looked so beautiful...The same thing happened when we were coming back

@Empty everybody has that.

People don’t meditate for hundreds of hours just for that.

"Not believing your own thoughts, you’re free from the primal desire: the thought that reality should be different than it is. You realise the wordless, the unthinkable. You understand that any mystery is only what you yourself have created. In fact, there’s no mystery. Everything is as clear as day. It’s simple, because there really isn’t anything. There’s only the story appearing now. And not even that.” — Byron Katie

@How to be wise It was just a glimpse. I get that when I try to stay the emptiness I experience when I am meditating, I remain in the same place.

@Empty an enlightenment experience brings a lot of wisdom. What insights about reality did you receive? Did you realise that this world doesn’t exist. No space or time? Don’t confuse a blissful experience with an enlightenment experience. An enlightenment experience is metaphysical in nature.

@Empty No, that is not even a glimpse. That is a beautiful, heart-felt experience, but not enlightenment or even a mystical experience.

With enlightenment, it is as through you broke your entire perceptual system. It is a deeply metaphysical thing. Physical reality collapses. Life and death become identical. It is such a radical shift in awareness that your mind cannot even imagine it in your wildest dreams.

It is so radical that it is beyond all human notions of beauty, emotion, and profoundity. It just leaves you paralyzed in awe, as you realize that you just died.

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

Yes perhaps, but recognising the beauty of the world is the perfect place to start from.

The next step is to recognise that same beauty within yourself.

In other words, meditation. ;)

That is a great point. For those of you still far from awakening, start by tapping into the beauty in your life. That feeling of beauty is really powerful. Learn to cultivate it and channel it as often as possible.

Beauty is all that remains after enlightenment. Just infinite beauty everywhere. The entire universe is one sublime work of art. A perfect masterpiece!

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

I agree with that, recognizing the beauty of reality is a huge first step.

it's also something you can't force, but it will come with emerging awareness. I notice it particularly after silent/meditation retreats. when I come back from them, or even after a long and good meditation session. then I experience wonderful little moments that make me smile spontaneously, sometimes my emotional reaction is so strong that I get watering eyes. and all that from small little surprises like the sun breaking through a particularly thick cloud and casting its light on trees. or a small flower in its sacred beauty. or a particularly sweet tasting fruit. or a smile I get from a random person passing by. or a sweet dog playing in the grass. or my mum sending me a lovely text.

sounds corny, but such things make my heart flutter when my awareness is heightened. <3

whatever arises, love that
