Because somebody can look at you and say you are lying to yourself and that gets to you. In a very deep fucking way that makes you can't stand yourself anymore. It makes you really desire determining the truth of that statement.

Maybe there's a prize for killing one's self! After all, you kill you all the time, and the new you replaces the old you, just be conscious of the process.

Killing yourself isn't a killing literally, it is a realization of what you really are, just like that. You can't imagine what or how much you're missing out on everytime you ignore that. I've only glimpsed that for seconds and I'm stunned by the profundity of killing one's self.

There's even no you to be killed, such a beautiful thing to be.
