Reicarnation

I found the subject very interesting.Knowing who you were is incredible.

I was wondering, is it possible i was reicarnated from another planet to earth for the first time?This came up to me yesterday as i was looking to the moon and the stars.Space always used to fascinate me since i was a little child.Aliens also, i was sure that aliens exist.I didnt need any proof, i just felt they do.Many of them.

Does it take to get deep into meditation to remember your past life/lives?Anyone here done it?Any help would be great.

@Outer It affects everyone.I've heard that we basically come back to another body when we leave this one , for unifinished business and to learn more.I dont know how it works exactly, although many people claim they do and they're also describing the process.

The subject is really wide, i havent read much.Havent you ever heard about past lives?

yeah reincarnation is a strange Idea if you think the ego is actually an illusion right. Because what is getting reincarnated? An illusion? I asked this to a Vipassana Teacher at a Guenka retreat once. He basically said that karma and memmories from old lives don't just go away. They find a new expression in a different life. And because you could make the argument that our ego's are pretty much just karma and memmories, reincarnation could sort of exist. I am very much agnostic about reincarnation. I have no Idea.

I find it highly unlikely that I will only surface as one ego/life in an infinite reality. Now, will I be cat or a dog or some dimensionless blob, who knows!

I would give up thinking of reincarnation in conceptual terms because it is not something the body and mind can use.  You've already reincarnated an infinite amount what recollection do you currently have of it?

Probably none if you're being purely honest. You're already an alien on a planet in infinite space,  if you're thinking about other aliens you've just grown bored of your current experience.

There is nothing you can hold on to,  absolutely nothing,  everything you do in this body is temporary and nothing will be kept permanently,   your true self is the nothingness or whatever else you want to call it.

And the death of this body will not only mean you lose the body and experience but the entire reality, literally meaning any history till this date is lost in an infinite amount of possibilities,  even people like the Jesus or Buddha are only relevant within this experience.
