Can you really master kriya yoga with out a master telling you what your doing right or wrong?

@joeyi99 santata gamanas kriya is so simple that you don't need a master. Yet it's super powerful.

@Moondog I experienced shaking during my kundalini awakening. Did you feel energy going up your spine? Also, I recommend switching to Santa Gamanas kriya if you are doing JC Stevens kriya. It's 5 times more powerful to me.

On a more serious note, rapé can help with blockages. Can be a good companion with kriya to get the kundalini moving.

@nistake You should be :) The first time i tried his kriya it felt like I was going insane. That's how frikin powerful it is.

So Im at it daily for 7 months. The Sanatata basic routine as in the first book once per day.

Ive become more flexible which is nice but not much else has happened. 

Ive also asked Santata Gamana to clarify what he means by "pulling up the energy" per mail, this was his reply if it helps anyone

Hey guys, a Kriya update. I've been practicing Kriya for quite a while now, and had great results. I ditched all psychedelics a few months ago.

I do good with both normal spinal breathing as well as SantataGamana's Kriya. Lately, I've been doing SG's Supreme Kriya Pranayama  (which is to the Crown Chakra) because it's having really powerful effects on my kundalini, especially because I combine it with Kriya Supreme Fire and Shambhavi Mudra.

I do spinal breathing while doing Maha Mudra and Yoni Mudra (also to the Crown Chakra). @MM1988 I move the energy (with my attention) from the root chakra to the top of the head. 
I also do full Kechari Mudra.

In the end of the routine, I no longer do concentration on Bhrumadhya but I do Self-Inquiry or Parvastha, which is much stronger for me.

I've had some mystical experiences, but as Leo says, I don't take them seriously. I let them come and go. This makes me go more into my core of pure awareness.

I will keep doing Kriya Yoga with Self-Inquiry (Parvastha) as my main practice. That works best for me. Who here has practiced for more than 1 year and hows it going?

@BuddhaTree how long did it take you to do full khechari, and have you tasted the supposed swet divine nectar from the pinneal gland?

This really is a powerful tool. The last 5 minutes of concentration feels like the start of a magic mushroom trip with lots of patterns and distracts my mind from thought.

 

I also noticed when doing Kriya Pranyama and concentrating the energy on Medulla that "I" am not behind my eyes where I always thought I was. Has anyone else had these type of experiences?

how many SG's Supreme Kriya Pranayama do you do and where did you learn Shambhavi Mudra? I don't remember seeing Shambhavi Mudra in any of the books

 

I've been practicing Kriya now for 10 months. A few months ago I stopped doing concentration at the end and replaced it with  Parvastha. This change has been massive, guys do not underestimate the post kriya witnessing. That's where all the gains are at

My experience on doing Kriya for the past 3 weeks:

- Breathing improved.

- Focus improved.

- Felt more conscious overall.Improved being in the moment.

- Felt inner peace.

- A lot less craving for low vibration activity. (porn, junkfood, being in a bad mood, reacting to drama, etc.)

Once I found the right posture how to sit with a straight spine while also being relaxed, my practice immediately improved. Kriya feels like working out the spine muscles. You just become so aware of the spine. Once the spine connects to your head - damn, you feel like a consciousness rod.

Tip:

If you are working out in a gym or doing hatha yoga, practice mindfull workouts, be conscious of the muscles you are working on. It will help for Kriya.

Conclusion:

Kriya is very powerful

Just had a big insight about that reading this thread : 

 

Before when I tried to breath more slowly, I was trying to breath more/harder which didn't work that well because it was full fast
Now I see how actually breathing less and training to train the time where we can stay in "air hunger" might be so much better, I'll try it like this now

I'm gonna put 5 minutes of breathing exercice as in the thread above just before my kryia session, I feel like it's gonna help a lot

 

@now is forever  Ok I didn't really picture correctly how it was cleaning with a neti pot, i check this video and now I understand better, it's completly different from what i'm doing now with my little sprays indeed

So I'm just gonna order a neti pot and make my own salt water yea

if it still holds on - you maybe need to let a doctor see it. there can be problems with the polyps etc. that narrow the nosetrill passage. not saying it’s that, but   if it holds on like that i would check.

Question: When you focus on bhrumadhya (not merely for concentration, but for Kriya Pranayama etc.), do you lift your eyes really far up, like the man on the bottom of that website: http://legacyofwisdom.blogspot.com/2013/06/ajna-chakra.html

Is it just slightly, or rather intense?

PS: Obviously the eyes are closed, the pictures are just that one can see how far the eyes are lifted.

@John West you want to be looking upward and inward like the first picture. Not just upward, you do that to concentrate on the crown chakra. The function of keeping your eyes like that is to aid your concentration, so you should look as far as you can without straining your eyes, they should be relaxed. But find what works for you. The exeption beeing that in the beginning your eyes might be twitchy, if they are then that will go away with time, so is that case i think you should sacrifice some comfort and relaxation to train your eyes. That't what I did.

That isn't necessary, because the attention, rather than eye position, is key. At some point during the process you will likely feel a pulling sensation at Bhrumadhya that will gather your attention and you will have successfully disassociated your inner vision from your physical eyes which can rest.

Moreover when you start seeing internally, it can mess it up if you are straining your physical eyes. You are not looking through them, let them be.

You would be concentrating on the crown if that was what you were instructed (Hariharananda / Prajnanananda / KYIO teach this). More common is that you are focused on Bhrumadhya.

I'm only three days into Kriya, and I must say I'm feeling very different. Gaps between thoughts are growing longer, and I can also use the mind more effectively when I'm being creative or have to work something out intellectually. But most importantly, I've started actually sensing that I'm part of something bigger on an experiential level. This morning I've experienced a profound sense of joy and bliss, which is hard to put into words. For me, it's a new kind of feeling. The happiest thing is that it seems to have been lasting for about an hour now, and there has been no mental chatter to back it up whatsoever.

I stick with a 15-minute practice two times per day. It's definitely different from usual meditation. Been meditating regularly for about three months before I got into Kriya, inspired by Leo's latest video. Is there much sense in combining Kriya with mindfulness meditation? Excited to find out what comes next.

@inFlow Getting less reactive: that's something I've spotted as well. Before I discovered Kriya, I often resorted to a visualisation technique I learnt from Eckhart Tolle, where you have to imagine you're being transparent the moment you feel a triggering scenario is going to emerge from round the corner. With Kriya practice, it's become so much more effective.
