From A Point

7 posts in this topic

how do you go from a point to a spectrum? say you're the color red. how do you go from being the color red, to being the whole spectrum of light? what if, that whole spectrum of light is what you, and all the other colors, are. but "you" (being the color red) identify with that color and assume it to be correct (as do all other colors).  how do you break free of that?

@99th_monkey

I see you've managed to subtract the "I" from the post, but only to replace it with "you"

There's only one way to answer that type of a question: first explore the "you"

That you there you you :D Can you find any? Don't get distracted in colors and expansions.

I get what you are trying to answer but it is still a request made by "yourself" as you currently perceive it, thus it is still going in loops.

Find the "I" "you" "me"... :)

After that, you can look for the red and the dots and the expansion...if you still feel like it.

In the analogy, you can take

  1. Incremental path: go from red to orange to yellow to green to blue to indigo to violet. And then notice that you are the whole rainbow. And then notice you are the light that gives birth to every color and that the colors are different aspects of you.
  2. Direct path: investigate your nature and find out that you are light. Then notice that there are other colors avaible to you as well.

Both easier said than done. ^_^

Maybe the only way is really start practicing? "Mental masturbation" does not really serve any good for us.
