Does it matter where you place your hands in Kriya yoga?

The book says to have your hands folded in your lap. Is the location of your hands important?

Why are you asking a forum of random people who might or might not know what they are talking about when the book gave you clear instructions. The time to question the teachings is over it passed when you decided to learn from it, if it tells you to do something just do it unless doing so will legit put you or somebody else in danger.
