Is it bad to always meditate with isochronic tone/binaural beat?

@PsiloPutty  An insight happened that I wasn't ready for and all that turned into a terrible panic attack. Even when I understood everything and the mind calmed down, the body itself was in the panic mode for months. But after that my life changed completely, so I have no regrets, even though that felt like hell. The insight was so potent that I felt that the process will go on anyways even without me meditating or doing some special techniques.

In these two years I used beats maybe twice.

I thnik it's not desired to use them non-stop. For me, music or these beats don't really help. But it might be interesting to test them on psychedelics, I have to try it.

Brainwave entrainment is how I got started with meditating.. It really was a helpful building block putting my brain in the proper state for meditation. After a while with a consistent practice you shouldn't really need it anymore. However, everyone is different, if it feels right and you feel you are getting what you want out of your practice then keep at it..

My new excitement for yoga was almost completely instantly squashed with the "silence" part....really? not even some nice relaxation chimes or something?... I bet I can get away with nature silence, right?...at least a few crickets or something....lol...

That's cause you're still addicted to stimulation and that ego of yours is looking for some kind of escape hatch.

Enlightenment is silence. Face it head on.

FYI, some Kriya techniques will actually have you close off your eyes and ears with your fingers to deepen the silence. Some Kriya schools actually give you a specially-designed armrest to hold up your arms as you block off your ears. Or just use earplugs.

@Leo Gura Thanks! I hadn't realized that, but you are right...mind fuck....but Leo...I have no interest in video games, or porn etc... I quit fiction entertainment etc too... but... it's true, I am addicted to stimulation... even drops of water falling off moss into a puddle seems captivating,...I always need music or a PD book, anything seems better than silence... I seriously had an escape hatch installed in the roof of my cabin, they seem like a necessity... I googled the silence/ enlightenment connection... ahhhhh ha, mmmm hmmmm! ... but Leo, wouldn't infinite sounds be preferable?... lol...

@PsiloPutty maybe we can wear our noise cancelling headphones without the beats sometimes... seems easier than fancy arm rests :)

@Epiphany_Inspired For you the doctor is prescribing a 30 days no-music challenge. Wear earplugs when you go the store, so no music enters.

@PsiloPutty Interesting thing is that even when you are not reacting to something with your mind, your body may react. Sometimes it's really mind-blowing, it seems like a body has its own life. But it also changes, it becomes more flexible and feels lighter. I guess that's because all the emotions and blocks it had once are being released. I think some physical exercises are also important, they help your body to adjust quicker. At least that's how it feels to me. So yeah... good luck with your practice :)

@Epiphany_Inspired  I'm laughing because I actually do that sometimes, wear my headphones with the power off, just for the silence while meditating.

@Leo Gura really? I could say "but Leo" a hundred times here... but I won't... I accept this mystery doctor's challenge! ... but I accept it like a duel ...with a glove slap to his/her face... because it will be so hard    ...my saving grace is knowing the level of appreciation I will have upon music's return... and the extra mindfulness I will likely cultivate in the process... thank you!

Take it one step at a time, or one video at a time, do it for a week, observe how you feel and benefits if any. Then do silence and see the difference, then another, observe ect... Find what works for you.
