What is one simple Yoga Practice along the lines of Awareness of Breath

5 posts in this topic

When I say along the lines of Awareness of the Breath, I mean that simple.  Awareness of the breath is very simple and effective.  That's my kind of practice.

Just give me like one simple technique to do.  I don't wanna overwhelm myself with Yoga.

Yoga is not simple.

If you do not want to practice it properly, don't practice it at all.

It's like you're asking, "Someone give me one simple technique for being a surgeon. I don't want to go through all of medical school. I just want one simple technique."

You are God. You are Truth. You are Love. You are Infinity.

That's fair.  I do want to get into it.

@Joseph Maynor

Let me share.

First. Notice the inhale. the life. the purity of thought. the purity of Realms.

Next. See the source of the breath. See the source between and around breathing in and breathing out. Now you remember the origins of Mind. Which is the pure awareness.

Lastly. See the exhale. The surrender of all creation back to it's original state. And breathe all of creation towards the unknown. The ultimate Reality which is beyond All of that which Is. And all that which was. And all that which will.

Now. Go back to normal. See the very interaction of this breathe in all your interactions.

Good luck.

Ttranscendental Meditation is the lazy man's spiritual practice. :P

It's almost as simple as breath meditation. Actually, depending on how detailed your breath meditation approach is, it may be simpler.

(And I do agree with your sentiment in principle - it's better to begin to do something simple - which you will persist with - than something involved that you won't.)
