It's a really common insecurity for some reason, I used to hate how I looked smiling in photos. I think it's because we're used to seeing ourselves in the mirror not smiling. It sounds weird but if you practice smiling in the mirror occasionally you'll start to feel better about how it looks in photos

Yea I don’t really know why , it’s hard to get a genuine smile on pics then you have to somehow make yourself laugh.

It's the fear of offending people with (what you think is) your low attractiveness. It can have a traumatic nature sometimes.
But in reality most people are better off smiling more or less.
