exercises to prevent meditation injury

6 posts in this topic

please share any exercises that will get one accustomed to sitting in a meditation pose.

i read that the knees could be damaged if one is not accustomed to sitting in a certain pose. i would guess other damage could be done beside the knees.

should one continue to sit if he has pain? (in case also his body is prepared to the position)

Wide angle forward bend. Butterfly pose. Don't continue sitting with pain in knees.

I can't do any traditional position without huge pain too.

You do not need a fancy position though, jut sit in a chair with a straight back.

If someone tells you you need a specific position to meditate, he's deluded.

The best meditation posture is not the lotus meditation pose.

The best of the best is the position of SQUAT.

Namaste, mfks!
