Would it Offend if You if I Call the Buddha Siddhārtha?

Why are we using the definite article ‘the’ as in the Buddha?  Doesn’t this ring of a deification that he would reject?

By the way, I think you are probably aware that the word 'Buddha' just means 'the awakened one'.. Anyone who is awake is a Buddha. When we say 'the Buddha', we are specifically talking about Siddhartha.
