I find friends are a burden

9 posts in this topic

It may sound hard. I have a lot of projects, ideas, things to do in my life, my hobbies, taking care of my finances, spend quality time with my family.... and find that whenever I have to go to have dinner with friends I feel like I dont want to go.

I dont even ressonate with my low conscious friends anymore, and less with the stupid friends of my friends that they come together.

I feel like they are stopping my spiritual progress with their trash food high stimulation dinners, materialist conversations about videogames, cars and tv shows, and even more they dont respect my decission and try to pressure me to drink alcohol when I dont want to.

Objectively dont take any profit from them, yes sounds egotistical but isnt love, friendship and all relations egotistical? Ok I'm nprogressing spiritually and dont need to feed my ego, lets just say to keep the relations with my friends just for the sake of love, high vibration, blah blah.... wouldnt be the same that the love you have for your pets? They are in a lower conscious level, they love to eat play and sleep.

Now understand why some people live alone with 3 cats or dogs, they arent as much stupid like humans.

I have struggled with this as well in the past.. I felt a distance between most of my friends after my initial awakening..

The best piece of advice I can give is work with some metta meditation.. Really sit in love and compassion, when you fill your heart you see everyone for who they are and give them love regardless..

Just do what brings joy to your heart and everything and everyone will fall into place.

All signs of your growing and them being stuck in  low-conciousness values. And the more you continue this path the greater the gap becomes. I am seeing this in my life a lot with members of family and friends and colleagues.

At some point you may need to start "cutting ties" or your growth will be stopped. At the same time be on the lookout to get around more conscious people.

I agree with Michael569, if you're on this journey, family and friends will resist your development, and most likely pull you back, even just subconsciously. Leo does have a video about dealing with loneliness, and I think it's just a part of growth.

Let them go, don't limit yourself and don't waste your time

There are a number of things wrong with this but I think it’s for the best. You are way too conceited for friends.

The most basic answer is that if you don’t want friends then you aren’t obligated to have or keep them.

Anything beyond that is just personal opinion and not a reflection on the state of having or not having friends.

It will pass. It’s just a position your taking due to what you have been digesting. Lol

@Shin Love them all, so good!

@Moreira from my experiences: like minded/values/intention friends are a real gift that warms, lights and elevates the heart.... while friends lost in dysfunction can definitely become a burden... that said, they can also come with small gifts, even if it's just more lessons... :) I think the advice usually given on the forum is Quality over Quantity... you may not need to stick to animals if you can find a few awesome friends!... the ones that are worth your time/ that you enjoy being around!
