Martial art ?

it depends what you want from a martial art.

if it's self defence then a boxing club is up there towards the top. and a judo or wrestling club, anything that involves grappling, as support system.

Some martial arts is fitness based. some is aesthetics, possibly yoga-like.

for myself, i'm at a kickboxing class. I've chosen this for two reasons.

1. I don't yet have the confidence to join a boxing club with heavy sparring.

2. accountability. If I don't maintain my disciplines throughout the week, eating, sleeping and exercising properly, staying hydrated, i'll be exposed at the kickboxing class.
